I make a motion to authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman of the Germantown Municipal School District to enter negotiations with Health Cost Solutions as our third party administrator for self-insured Health benefits and Dental benefits and to pursue fully insured options for all employee benefits other than Health and Dental. passed with a motion by Mr. Mark Dely and a second by Mrs. Natalie Williams.

We will need two resolutions for TCRS: 1) Legacy Plan adoption: A resolution to allow all school board employees to participate in the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System’s Regular Defined Benefit Plan, as outlined in the TCRS resolution document, separately from the City of Germantown’s retirement plan, subject to approval by TCRS Board of Trustees and subject to the passage of the City of Germantown’s accepting financial responsibility for the liabilities associated with the Board of Education’s participation in TCRS. 2) Hybrid Plan change: A resolution allowing the Board of Education to change from the Regular Defined Benefit Plan to the hybrid retirement plan for state employees and teachers for all employees hired after December 31, 2014, as outlined in the TCRS resolution document. passed with a motion by Mrs. Linda Fisher and a second by Ms. Lisa Parker.
