Rationale: Notice of Public Meeting
Pursuant to the requirements of the State of Tennessee’s Open Meetings Act, codified at Tennessee Code Ann 8-44-101 et. Seq., the following is published and made known to all interested persons.
The Germantown Board of Education will hold two Special Called Meetings, both on April 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. and one to immediately follow.
The purpose of the first Special Called Meeting on April 9 will be a Student Discipline Board Appeal. The purpose of the second Special Called Meeting will be Approval of New HR Policy 5.101 Temporary COVID-19 Personnel Plan
Pursuant to Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No. 16, these meetings will be held by electronic means. Board members participate remotely and members of the public will not be permitted to assemble due to the respective Executive Orders of Governor, Bill Lee, Shelby County Mayor, Lee Harris, and the City of Germantown Mayor, Mike Palazzolo, which include a social distancing requirement and other "Safer at Home" provisions. However, these meetings will be videotaped and will be available for viewing on the Germantown Municipal School District website on Friday, April 10th, 2020, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Germantown Board of Education’s website address is:
