I. CALL TO ORDER

Discussion: Mr. Day called the meeting to order.
Followed by a moment of silence, Mr. Ervin led the pledge.

Mr. Day stated the purpose of the meeting was to discuss the candidates and select a candidate as the next Director of Schools.

Chairman Day said with consensus of the Board paper ballots would be distributed and Board members would write one name.

Chairman Day read aloud each Board member's vote as Jennifer Moore tallied the votes.

Dellinger: Jerry Boyd; Riddle: Jerry Boyd; Meredith: Jerry Boyd; Ervin: Jerry Boyd; Masters: Jerry Boyd; Fleenor: Jerry Boyd; Hammond: Jerry Boyd; Buchanan: Andrew Hare; Day: Jerry Boyd.

Mr. Masters moved for a vote of confidence for Jerry Boyd. Mr. Fleenor seconded the motion.

Board members thanked everyone for reaching out and providing input on the candidates.

Mr. Ervin thanked Dr. Flanary for all he has contributed to Washington County Schools.

The meeting was adjourned.
