Chairman Williams encouraged other municipals to work together to have Representative Leatherwood to vote against School Vouchers and Education Savings Accounts
Mayor Wissman to encourage other Mayors, Aldermen and Commissioners to ask our Representative and Senator to vote against Education Savings Account

CIP Update Work Session in April, date forthcoming
Superintendent Evaluation tool will be emailed on Monday, April 8 and due to General Counsel no later than April 30 per Policy 5.800.
TSBA Webinar on April 5 (11:00 - 12:00): What is the Basic Education Program (BEP), a link will be e-mailed.
TSBA Student Recognition and School Volunteer Recognition Award application available.
TSBÅ Board of Distinction Award requires 7 hour retreat if the Board choses to pursue.

7.B. Superintendent's Report

Online Registration:

Online registration opened early March till March 29
Enrollment currently 69% of projected enrollment
Proofs still required in the fall at Proof Verification Day
Reviewing online registration strategies next year
266 Non-resident applications to date
450 new families registered
Entry level grades have highest enrollment (K, 6 and 9)
AMS Gym progressing, substantial completion date end of May (hopeful for July completion)
AHS Indoor Athletic Facility update: working with Town on exterior materials options. Once approved by Town, bid to go out early July. Estimated to be 6-8 month project.
CIP Update: facility assessments being reviewed and draft will be available for Board to review prior to work session. Final CIP Update will be up for approval at the April meeting.
Superintendent will present an overview of Capitol Projects to Shelby County Commission on April 3
Family Life Curriculum letter to parents on April 2 (mandated by Tennessee Department of Education for grades K-8)
Mr. Lamar (Treasurer of Cook Chapter, Air National Guard) is submitting an application for STEM Teacher of the Year for Casey Sandlin-Rogers (AHS)
AHS STEM students toured Odyssey (2 hired as interns)
