Discussion:
Dr. Cash announced that it was National School Counselors Week and Black History Month.
Reach Higher monthly theme is Family Engagement and the monthly video was premiered and played for the Board. Dr. Cash closed by stating that Mrs. Yost, Mrs. Kaylor, and herself were able to go to Nashville to present to the Education Committee on Third Grade Retention. She thanked Mr. Raper, Tennessee Representative, for making them feel welcome. |

7. Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation Mid-Year Report (Informational) - Director Lynn Voelz and President Nancy Blank
Discussion:
Director Lynn Voelz and President Nancy Blank of the Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation gave the Board an update.

8. School-Based Mental Health Services Grant (Informational) - Melissa Presswood
Discussion:
Bradley County Schools is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a School-Based Mental Health Services (SBMH) grant from the US Department of Education in the amount of $9,584,011. Melissa Presswood, Grant Director for Bradley County Schools, stated that it is a five-year grant program which will fund a project director, six school social workers, four school counselors, and one school psychologists.

10. Oak Grove Sign Approval* - Brad Davis

Discussion:
Mr. Brad Davis requested permission to add an electronic sign to the front of Oak Grove Elementary School. Chairman Lee asked what funds will be used. Mr. Davis stated that they will use multiple accounts; Title 1, fundraising money, PTO money, and Best Partner money.

Discussion:
Mrs. Elizabeth Kaylor, Mr. Todd Shoemaker, and Mrs. Beth Fugate presented the Board their recommendation for the math curriculum. They explained the process of making the decision. The Committee recommended the following; K-8: Curriculum Associates, 9-12: Savvas.

Mr. Johnny Mull presented the ABM Custodial Contract, whose bid was accepted at the previous Board meeting. Mr. Mull explained that the contract had been reviewed by himself, Dr. Cash, Susan Willcutt, Ellen Smith, and the Board Attorney. Dr. Lovingood asked how we evaluate if ABM is doing an adequate job. Mr. Mull explained their documentation process.
