15. BCHS and WVHS Tennis Courts Update - Kyle Page
Discussion:
Both tennis courts are buttoned-up; the fencing is up at both schools, the surfacing at both schools is complete. There has been some erosion at Bradley and Erosion Solutions is set to come at the first of the week. Chuck and Kyle have been adding top soil. Kyle informed the Board that erosion control might be needed at Walker Valley down the road. Windscreens are set to arrive in 7-10 business days. Once the windscreens come in, they will be coming up to paint the logos. The tennis courts look nice. Dr. Lovingood asked if Kyle was feeling okay about the erosion. Mr. Page stated that he will feel okay once Eroson Control comes in and he gets Top Soil in, which will be able to take that seed. Dr. Lovingood stated that he went to both tennis courts. They looked good, but he was still concerned about the issue at Bradley Central. Mr. Page stated that this is the hottest time of the year and not a good time to be doing this stuff. Mr. Page stated that the game plan moving forward is to clean out the drains, add top soil to places that have been washed, then they will mat all that. Hopefully, that mat will hold up and begin to grow seed. That will tuck it away for the summer, and once we get into fall, and we get into a rainy season and we see what is coming up, we need to come back and sod a few places. We looked at sodding now, but we do not know what the rain was going to do. We will spend $7K-$8K on sod right now and it is just going to burn up, because we do not have enough water to put on it. Mr. Page stated that this the best thing to do right now. Ms. Casson asked if the tennis courts would be able to be utilized this tennis season. Mr. Page stated that they would be used. In fact, Bradley is hosting a tennis camp this week.
