6. Director of Schools Report
Discussion:
Bradley County Schools is partnering with the United Way on November 1st for Make a Change day, Dr. Cash told the Board. United Way's funding was cut for the Sack Pak program which the principals feel is a great program for Bradley County students. The district decided to plan the Make a Change day program a service project for the district. Mr. Steve Montgomery, Principal of Prospect Elementary Schools, is heading up the project. On November 1st, the whole district will collect change. Any money collected will go to the United Way for the Sack Pak program.

Discussion:
Chairman Dillard reconized Kyle Page for an explaination of who Tranco is. Tranco is the main distributor for Volkswagen. Mr. Bruce Trentham, owner of Tranco, is involved in many different ventures, Mr. Page told the Board. He will lease the space in the PIE Center for dry storage. Mr. Trentham will build out storage in some of the areas that will not be usable for other businesses. According to Mr. Page, Mr. Trentham's plan for using students is for moving items, maintenance, and office work, and all entry level jobs. The first workbase learning course enrollment will be in the fall. He will begin the build out for Tranco in January. |

11. Announcements - The Board will attend the TSBA Leadership Conference from November 2-5, in Nashville. The November Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 9th at 5:30 at the Central Office.
