Discussion:
Dr. Cash thanked Daniel Baker for being the Representative for the Board and representing Bradley High students.

7.a. Recognition of Damon Floyd from William Hall Rodgers Christmas Basket Fund.
Discussion:
Damon Floyd was recognized by Dr. Cash for his contribution to our community. She received a letter from the William Hall Rodgers Christmas Basket Committee expressing their gratitude for his help with the distribution of Christmas baskets. Coach Floyd told the Board that he has been taking 20 - 25 football players for the past 6 years to help load the baskets. He enjoys giving back and enjoys watching his kids give back.

8. Bradley/Cleveland Public Education Foundation Update-Matt Bentley, President
Discussion:
Matt Bentley, President of the Bradley Cleveland Public Education Foundation, gave a mid year report to the Board. He told them this has been a good year so far. He reported their year to date fiscal income to be $276.000. The Vision 100 was a great success this year. Eighteen grant proposals for 2016 totaled $440,111, nine directly affect Bradley County Schools for $325,111. One grant is in progress for Charleston Elementary school for $75,777. A reception for Taylor Elementary School for a grant they received from Leonore Annenberg Scholarship, Fellowship, and School Funds was held in October. He thanked the Tucker Foundation for the Clicker Program. For $9,700 they were able to put the program in 486 different classrooms. The teacher can teach the class, ask a question, let the students respond, and with her smart phone she can tell if they got it or not. The Foundation helped with the Bradley High Athletic building. Debbie Ledford Melton helped Walker Valley raise $10,000 with the "Drive a Buick" program. He also told the Board that there were nine teacher grants funded and seven of them went to Bradley County teacher for a total of $26,992. Eleven fellowships were awarded to Bradley County teachers over the past three years for $55,000. He told the Board how much the Foundation appreciates their support.

10. Announcements - A retreat has been planned for the Board on Saturday, January 28th. The February Board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 9th at 5:30.
