Discussion:
Dr. Cash told the Board how much she has appreciated their service this year. Then, she turned her time over to Vice Chair, Vicki Beaty. Mrs. Beaty asked the Board members that are leaving to step to the front along with Dr. Cash and the remaining Board members. Dr. Cash told Chris Turner, Nicholas Lillios and Charlie Rose that on behalf of the Board of Education, they would like to say how much they appreciated their service to our schools and students. We wish you the best. We know that you will continue to work hard for us and be a part of what we do for children. We thank you. Each were presented with a certificate and pen from the Board and Dr. Cash. Mrs. Beaty told them that on behalf of the Bradley County Board of Education, she wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how much the Board appreciates your service to the school system, to the community, and most importantly to the students of Bradley County. Nicholas, Charlie, and Chris - Thank you for your concern for quality education, thank you for your concern for the well being of our children, and thank you for being an advocate for teachers, staff members and school leaders. Discussion:
Mr. Rose asked to make a statement. He thanked the 7th district for allowing him to serve them for the last 8 years. He really appreciates the school sytem so very much. This is an era for him. He has been directly involved with Bradley County Schools for over 48 years directly. He taught for 39 years, worked a 2 year contract and served 8 years on the Board. He said he enjoyed it. He had one thing to say about being a Board member, it is an experience. He said that he appreciates the employees so very very much. Bradley County Schools are great we can only go up - just keep working and improving. He also wished the new Board members and the sitting Board members the best in their efforts to help and support Bradley County Schools. Thank you very much. Mr. Lillios said thank you to Director Linda Cash and the Board members for their support over these years. He thanked the County Commission for their cooperation in what the Board has attempted to do financially with the infrastructure. He also thanked the principals and teachers for always making him feel welcome in their schools. He appreciated that. Mr. Turner simply said "May god continue to bless Bradley County Schools".
