6. 5:50 Persons Requesting to Address the Board on Agenda Items
Discussion:
Barbara Gilbert and Josoda Gilbert signed up to speak to the Board on Agenda Item 9. Mrs. Gilbert spoke and Mr. Gilbert yielded his time. Mrs. Gilbert began by saying that claiming to be able to separate the history of and theology of a religion is the moral and intellectual equivalent of separating physics from science. It is an absurd contraction, it is impossible and it cannot be done. She finished by asking the Board to let religion keep its place in the home and churches, and history in the schools.
