8.a. Update on Ipad Implementation - Lesha Crawley
Discussion:
Lesha Crawley brought to the Board a great big "THANK YOU" from the faculties at Prospect, Valley View, and the Tech Coaches. October when the Board voted to purchase iPads they went to work. They ordered 350 iPads and Otter boxes which arrived just before Thanksgiving. They setup a work area at Valley View to get everything ready. The iPads were bar coded, inventoried, and put into otter boxes. They set up the lock and charge carts, wired them, and got them ready. Bradley County does not have a Mobile Device Management system so they had to attach all 350 iPads to a Mac Book to update everything and push out all the apps. While they waited on the iPads, they trained on the device and then on instruction. Corey Limburg, Principal of Valley View, told the Board that he and Mr. Montgomery, Principal of Prospect, wanted them to know just how much time the Tech Coaches put into this project. He said they did a great job.
