3. Student Presentations by Lake Forest Middle School and Prospect Elementary School
Discussion:
Prospect Elementary School students and faculty raised money to give back this year for Christmas. Ms. Dunkle and the Leadership Team coordinated an effort to give all 520 students from Clifton Hills Elementary School in Hamilton County a gift. They gave teachers a $25.00 gift card and support staff a $10.00 gift card. They also left the Principal with school supplies and back packs.
Lake Forest Middle School show choir performed several songs for the Board.

7. Presentation of Synovia Bus System
Discussion:
Synovia gave a presentation to the Board of their software solution for Bus Systems. The software offers Core GPS, Engine Diagnostics, Parent Access. GPS will allow you to always know where the bus are by tracking them. Diagnostics will allow you to check fuel, tire pressure, and oil pressure. Parent Access will allow a parent to check on the bus to know if there is a delay or how close they are to home.

9. Director of Schools Good News Report/Recognition

9.a. Bradley Central High FFA 48th National Gold Emblem Award
Discussion:
Dr. Cash and Arlette Robinson, Vocational Director, congratulated Bradley Central High School's FFA program for their 48th National Gold Emblem Award. Several students explained to the Board some of the things they do to received this award.

9.b. Recognition of Gift from Cormetech
Discussion:
Dr. Cash and Brittany Cannon recognizied Cormetech for a gift of $3,000.00 to Bradley and Walker Valley High Schools for their megatronic programs. Mr. Jeff Barker, Plant and Brenda Shoate? from Cormetech explained that the money was a group effort from the employees. They have a recycling program that the employees participate in and put the money into an account for the purpose of giving back to the community.

Discussion:
Our staff and principals are working diligently on our strategic plan. We are getting feed back on
Goal 1 - Ensure Educational Excellence and Equity for Every Student. Also, feed back on Goal 3 - Strengthen School, Family and Community Engagement.

9.e. TN State Hall of Fame for Bus Drivers - 51 years for Bradley and Hamilton County - ALVIN LEE
Discussion:
Dr. Cash and Gary Austin, Transportation Director, recognized Alvin Lee for 51 years of service driving a bus for Bradley and Hamilton County Schools. In June of this year, he was inducted into the TN State Hall of Fame for Bus Drivers.

9.f. Recognition of Rusty Clayton and Josh Belisle for getting our Special Needs children out of a burning bus on April 30, 2015.
Discussion:
Dr. Cash and Mr. Austin also recognized Rusty Clayton and Josh Belisle for their quick response to getting special needs children out of a burning bus on April 30, 2015.

10. Presentation of Read 20 and 90% goal
Discussion:
Dr. Linda Cash told the Board she just wanted to bring back before the Board her goals of 90% of students reaching reading profenciency by the end of third grade within five years and our READ 20 program. She asked the Board to give their support with a resolution.

Also, the Board will meet in a Board Retreat on Saturday afternoon, January 9th and Sunday morning, January 10, 2016, at the Smokehouse Lodge in Monteagle, TN.
