Discussion:
Mr. Keith Turner discussed and reviewed the Athletic Training Protocols and Safety Guidelines for COVID-19 procedures.

1.C. Northeast Tennessee School Systems Scholastic Activities Return to Play Plan

Discussion:
Coach Carter discussed regulations to cleaning equipment and guidelines for practice. Dr. Wallace commented that both Mr. Turner and Coach Carters protocols and safety guidelines exceed TSSAA requirements. Dr. Wallace also discussed the process of contact tracing: Identify, Isolate and Trace in partnership with the Washington County Health Department.

2. COVID-19 Sports Regulations

Discussion:
Mayor Jenny Brock thank the Board of Education with the tough decisions made through the difficulties of starting schools with COVID-19. Mayor Brock also noted that many future events have been canceled for Johnson City due to large crowd size and keeping the citizens safe. Mr. Pete Peterson further discussed safety guidelines and the cancelation of events and tournaments. Masks and extra security will be needed for athletic events. In addition, per Governor Lee's executive order also prohibits recreational contact sports.
