1. Call to Order
Discussion:
The Executive Committee of the Marshall County Board of Education, comprised of Chairman of the Board Julie Keny Cathey and Director of Schools Jacob Sorrells, spoke by phone Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 7:55 a.m. to approve the emergency purchase/replacement of a "mother board" on the chiller/boiler system at Oak Grove Elementary School.

Discussion:
Mr. Sorrells explained that the maintenance department has constantly restarted/reset the controls at OGES since school reopened after the Christmas break. He and maintenance department heads met with TRANE representatives who stated that the controls will go out at some point, and once they do the turnaround time will be two weeks to order/receive the parts and install. The cost for this repair is $16,779.00; the school system is in a government cooperative, so it does not have to be bid. The Executive Committee agreed it's best to go ahead and replace the part now instead of waiting for the chiller/boiler system to go down, leaving the school building without heat for approximately two weeks.
