Mr. Sorrells recognized 45 county students for their hard work and impressive results on the ACT.

4. Bids - Preston Hopkins Renovation

Discussion:
John Trail of Johnson + Bailey Architects led the board in a discussion about the bids submitted for the Preston Hopkins renovation. All bids submitted were over the budgeted amount for the project; therefore, the board requested that Mr. Trail work with the low bidder (DMS, Inc., in Pulaski) to see if the costs could be trimmed to fit within the budget. The board agreed to hold a Special Called meeting the following wee, date to be determined, in order to review a detailed breakdown of the bid and any additional information provided by the bidder. No action was taken at this time.
