Mr. Jones scheduled a Maintenance Committee meeting for Monday, December 5 at 5:30 p.m. Ms. Cathey scheduled a Curriculum Committee meeting to immediately follow the Maintenance Committee meeting on December 5. Mr. Sorrells stated that a Policy Committee meeting needed to be scheduled. Ms. Poole will check with Ms. Hunter, policy chairman, about scheduling a meeting prior to the December 12 board meeting.

Discussion:
Mr. Allen informed the board that he took a new job in May and has not been able to attend any school board meetings since that time. But he is now allowed time off from work and has since completed on-line modules and will attend an additional training module in order to get his school board obligations caught up. He expressed his appreciation to the board for allowing him the extra time to complete his training and for their patience.

13. Director's Report

Discussion:
Continuing the Director's Report, Mr. Sorrells: thanked the Board for their support in allowing the school system to use Interquest Detection Canines; thanked Christine Dorrance for her donation of a baby grand piano, which is now housed at Westhills Elementary School; thanked the system's finance department for a clean audit; informed the board that a monthly financial statement will now be included in each board packet; announced the EOC scores will be released soon; thanked the schools for the great veterans programs last week and to all veterans for their service to our country.
