1. Call to Order
Discussion:
The Executive Committee of the Marshall County Board of Education, comprised of Chairman of the Board Mike Keny and Director of Schools Jackie Abernathy, spoke by phone Friday, April 11, 2014, at approximately 2:00 p.m. to discuss approving Cornersville School FBLA sponsor Vicky Carlton's request for three students and herself to attend the FBLA National Leadership Conference June 29-July 2 in Nashville. Even though the conference is over two months away, Ms. Carlton needed permission before the next board meeting in order to inform the FBLA State Coordinator that Marshall County would accept the invitation to compete in Nationals. Board secretary Rhonda Poole was also in attendance.

2. CVHS FBLA request

No Action(s) have been added to this Agenda Item.
Discussion:
Three of Ms. Carlton's students finished in the top two of their categories in state competition; according to board policy 2.901 Financing School Trips, students who place first or second in state competition are eligible for board support to national competitions.
Note: Ms. Carlton submitted a budget of the cost of the event on April 16, 2012, as requested.
