1. Call to Order

Discussion: The Executive Committee of the Marshall County Board of Education, comprised of Chairman of the Board Mike Keny and Director of Schools Jackie Abernathy, spoke by phone Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at approximately 3:00 p.m. to discuss increasing the pay of bus drivers who transport Bridges students in the evenings.

2. Increase Pay for Bus Drivers Who Transport Bridges Students

Motion passed:

Since the September board meeting is not scheduled until September 24, and this year's Bridges program is scheduled to begin immediately after Labor Day, vote to raise the pay from $25 per transport to $35 passed with a motion by Mr. Mike Keny and a second by Mrs. Jackie Abernathy.

Discussion: The discussion revealed that the program needs four drivers to deliver the students home following the afternoon sessions; currently, only two drivers have signed on. Funds will be taken from the Bridges grant.
