1. Call to Order
Discussion:
The Executive Committee of the Marshall County Board of Education, comprised of Chairman of the Board Mike Keny and Director of Schools Jackie Abernathy, spoke by phone Friday, August 9, 2013, at approximately 1:00 p.m. to discuss door hardware for the county's schools.

2. Door Hardware

Discussion:
During the August 6 meeting of the Maintenance Committee, the committee recommended bidding out the hardware for the doors. Vicki Veatch, Maintenance Office Manager, contacted Preferred Glass of Shelbyville and CDF Distributors of Nashville to request bids. Preferred Glass was the only company to submit an estimate or returned Ms. Veatch's call and email.
After discussions, the Executive Committee felt the buildings were not secure and that getting the hardware replaced on the doors was an emergency situation.
