I.A. Call to Order
Discussion:
The Bedford County Board of Education met in a Special Called Meeting on June 30, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Board of Education Central Office located at 500 Madison St., Shelbyville, TN. Board members Glenn Forsee, Brian Crews, Barton Williams, Michael Cook, Shanna Boyette and Lana Craig were present. David Brown, Dan Reed, and Andrea Anderson were absent. There were 6 members present for a quorum.

III.A. Consolidated Funding FY 2027

Discussion:
Chad Fletcher explained these allocations have met with state approval on both the distribution and narrative pieces. This is a roll call vote and each board member that has family member employed in the school system was asked to read the conflict of interest disclosure statement*. Shanna Boyette read the conflict of interest disclosure statement and voted yes. Brian Crews voted yes. Michael Cook read the conflict of interest disclosure statement and voted yes. Glenn Forsee read the conflict of interest disclosure statement and voted yes. Barton Williams read the conflict of interest disclosure statement and voted yes. Lana Craig voted yes. Motion was made by Brian Crews and seconded by Barton Williams. Motion was carried with a 6-0 vote.

III.B. Budget Amendment
Action(s):
No Action(s) have been added to this Agenda Item.
Discussion:
Robert Daniel explained the amendment and told the board that this amendment will go before the commissioners tonight at their special called meeting. Motion to approve made by Glenn Forsee and seconded by Lana Craig. Motion passed by a 6-0 vote.

IV. ADJOURNMENT
Discussion:
Mr. Cook announced a study session for July 9th at 5pm at the Central Office and the following Tuesday will be the regular board meeting at Community High School.
Glenn Forsee moved to adjourn the meeting at 12:06 pm. |
