Rationale:
Per Sara Beth Spray - The current program of study allows students to take classes in Information Technology. At the conclusion of each class, students have the opportunity to sit for industry certifications. This is great for those students wishing to go directly into industry or who wish to attend a technology school such as TCAT. However, for the students who wish to pursue an associates or bachelor's degree, the program does not give them credits they can take into post-secondary. This AP credit would also serve to attract students who do not normally take a technology course or any CTE course. We believe the lack of honors and AP classes in our CTE program dissuades students from taking our classes. This class would attract a new, diverse group of students to the program.
