Rationale:
This is new federal money that will be administered through Mr. Looper's department to assist homeless students and their families with such items as transportation reimbursement, academic needs, and to supplant the BackPack program, as assistance from food banks is waning. Funds will also be used for staff training.

V.G. Extended Contract Program Proposal
Rationale:
Per Betsy Norris, the extended program will receive $57,700 after the board approves this proposal. This amount will allow for hiring teachers for tutoring students after/before school and for summer school in all Bedford County schools, however this amount represents a 25% reduction from what was received last year.
