Rationale:
Budget Process - The budget process is occurring at a workable pace and as we continue to adjust and make plans for next year, we are hoping to operate on a very little increase (if any). I should know more as Robert Daniel and I continue to meet with individual departments and make decisions on the 2012-13 budget(s).
Superintendent's Advisory Committee - I have had another meeting with the Superintendent's Advisory Committee and we experienced some constructive dialogue. I will be forwarding the notes to you soon. I will also be meeting with BCEA to discuss our future relationship and answer questions from their organization. I hope to have more information (as a follow-up) from the meeting at our March 15 board meeting. Speaking Engagement - I spoke to the Retired Teachers of Bedford County last week. Mobile Health Unit - We are still in discussion with our medical friends and community concerning the Mobile Health Unit from St. Thomas. |
