IV.D.5. Teacher Evaluation Model
Rationale:
Thanks to BCLA teacher John Anderson for his extensive research on the validity of the new evaluation model for Tennessee teachers. Although we are required to use the state mandated evaluation model (and apply all components uniformly), for certain teachers, the 35% component covering TVAAS gains of students, is not evaluatively applicable, but will be used for system study. The state is currently reviewing the model and has asked for a formal study to be completed so improvements can be made.
