Chairman Tucker led everyone in a Moment of Silence followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Nate Tucker asked Mr. Kelly Kiser to review the process the Board used during the Director of Schools search.
Mr. Kelly Kiser reviewed the history, beginning with selecting a search agency-Ray & Associates. Met with local stakeholders, staff and community members. The board narrowed a large pool to 10 very qualified candidates down to 3 finalists during the first round of interviews, which took place over Google meet. The top 3 finalists visited Cleveland City Schools during the first week of May, where we held community, staff, and stakeholder meet and greets where each group submitted questions through a link provided by Ray and Associates and Kelly Kiser moderated these meetings and asked the questions to the candidates and now at the final board vote. |

Nate Tucker opened the floor for a motion for Dr. Amie Lonas, Dr. Terrance Sander, and Jeff Elliott.
Matthew Coleman motioned for Dr. Amie Lonas- No second received Carolyn Ingram motioned for Dr. Jeff Elliott - Peggy Pesterfield seconded the motion. Mr Kelly Kiser proceeded with a random name draw, roll call vote as follows; Nate Tucker-Yes Carolyn Ingram-Yes Matthew Coleman-Yes Peggy Pesterfield-Yes Andy Lay-Yes Krista McKay-Yes Jodi Riggins-Yes 7-0 Passes 100% Dr. Jeff Elliott is the new Director of Schools. |
