V.A. Division I Basketball District Tournament 3rd and 4th Place Game

The staff can bring data from the 2025-26 tournament to the June meeting for the Board's consideration. The Board would like to survey all participating basketball schools for their feedback. The survey should ensure that each school's finish in the district tournament is captured, so that the opinions of the schools that finish as District #1 can be considered, since District #1 will receive a bye. The state office was also charged with highlighting any potential calendar impacts from this format change.

V.D. NFHS Football Rules Experiment

After discussions with the Tennessee Football Coaches Association, the TSSAA plans to ask the NFHS Football Rules Committee for permission to conduct an experiment during the 2026 Football season that, if approved, would make encroachment on a kickoff a live ball foul. No action was required.
