Dual Credit Update
Speaker(s):  Mrs. Besty Allison
Discussion:  Mr. Miles introduced Betsy Allison as the Secondary Instruction Supervisor. Mrs. Allison reviewed all dual enrollment/dual credit options that are currently being offered at HCHS. Classes are currently being offered by UT Martin, Bethel and the Board of Regents. Mrs. Allison also reminded the board that students now have the opportunity to take classes at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology. Discussion was had among the board regarding dual credits.
Policy 5.115 Assignment/Transfer (First Reading)
Speaker(s):  Dr. Brian Norton
Discussion:  Dr. Norton reviewed the update of policy 5.115. He reminded the board that this policy was introduced by TSBA and was required by a change in law.
Henry School Report
Speaker(s):  Principal, Ms. Cynthia Lechner
Discussion:  Mrs. Cynthia Lechner thanked the board and welcomed them to Henry School. Mrs. Lechner reviewed school demographics, school personnel. Cluster Leaders Angie Cook, Robin House, and Amy Williams, Patsy Barrow from each grade level presented instructional techniques for their particular grade levels. Jenni Wimberley presented information on the implementation of Response to Intervention (RTI) at Henry. Mrs. Patsy Barrow introduced 3 students who discussed student ownership of learning and how it works in Mrs. Barrow's class. Students were Sierra Tucker, Regena Lindsey, Counselor discussed anti-bullying and the dome that was provided by Plus Endowment Grants. Board members and the Director of Schools thanked the school for the presentation.
* City of Paris Agreement
