Safety plans and procedures were open for public comment at our last board meeting and procedures are developed with input from the districtwide school safety team and a building-level school safety team, the Bristol Tennessee Police Department, Bristol Tennessee Fire Department, Homeland Security, Sullivan County Emergency Management, and in accordance with the requirements set by the state of Tennessee. Our plans focus on crisis intervention, emergency response, and emergency management, outlining the procedures that our staff and students need to follow in case of an emergency situation. Description:  Revised 2026-2027 Original Budget

• The 2026-2027 Original Budget approved at the May 18, 2026 Board of Education meeting requires a revision to the General Purpose School Fund to remove a $250,000 capital contribution from the City of Bristol, Tennessee to BTCS.  This revision reduces the budgeted transfer from the City of Bristol, Tennessee from $5,015,429 to $4,765,429 and agrees with Ordinance 26-3 passed on first reading at the City Council meeting that occurred on June 2, 2026.

Description:  Dr. Tudor is recommending board approval to award RFP 26-010 to Frizzell Construction of Bristol, TN. Frizzell was the lowest responsive bidder with a response of $348,258.
